Award-winning filmmaker Lynn Novick arrives in London next week to promote the UK premiere of the full 18-hour version of her film The Vietnam War (made in collaboration with the legendary Ken Burns).
The immersive series will be shown over the course of ten weeks on PBS America, with Episode 1: Déjà Vu premiering on Wednesday 11 April at 9pm, and a new instalment airing every week until mid June.
The documentary includes rarely-seen footage from around the globe, set to a backdrop of revelatory sound recordings from inside the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations, and accompanied by over 120 era-defining songs from musicians such as Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles and Joni Mitchell.
The Q&A with Novick, which is open to the public, will be held Tuesday 10 April from 7pm at The British Library. Tickets are available for purchase from The British Library website.
PBS America is available on Freeview 94, Freesat 155, Virgin Media 276 and Sky 534.
